08 gsa - non delivery

I collected a bike in January 2000 that was not registered until 1st March. Paid for it, had the registration number and plate made, the tax disc was posted to me. I had to prove that insurance was in place for the 1st March.
The weather
Is ithe weather so bad in England that you could have a GSA in your garage and not even want to use it? Does it really make much difference that letter or number on your numberplate when, in many years time(?) you will want to sell it, Having just come in from a good ride on my rather muddy 1200GS I hesitate to wash it because I am afraid that the water on the ground may freeze overnight. Unless it snows or rains and then freezes I will continue to use it daily.

Youre in france mate. I live in the north of england. its freezing, raining and very cold

In my past life I took delivery of unregistered bikes/cars/trucks, rid/driv 'em on trade plates with motor trade insurance and sold them or kept them as and when I saw fit. Usually the guy that PDI's them road tests them on trade plates anyway, whats the difference

Picked up on this thread a little late....but wanted to say that I had my 2007 GSA delivered over a month before it was actually registered. I wasn't going to use it before the new year anyway (it was delivered end of Nov 07) and registered in 08.
Yes it was from a BMW franchise, I didn't even request it, the dealer rang me and asked if I'd prefer it registered later as the weather was so bad. The number plate had been allocated to the bike so I had it insured etc but not actually taxed and registered with the DVLA.
