Reliable.:eek::bow

I’m just so lucky. I must have one of the few 1200’s that has been totally dependable and has been 100% reliable. not even so much as a blown bulb.

What are the odds on it reaching 30k without catastrophic failure?
:mmmm

Don't know, but I'll take a tenner that it gets there just fine.

All I've had is a change of front brake discs - hardly catastrophic.

At last a positive thread. I have had 4, and my new 30th anniversary model was picked up Wednesday this week. I do not do high milage but had no problems with any of them.
Hope every body who adds to this is as positive.

Love +ve

I have mine 18 months, 28K miles; they are awesome machines. Just a couple of rear discs - but have sorted :beerjug:the problem. Just need a couple of spokey wheels to put sticky tyres on - then Cadwell !!

Ooh, I do like those anniversary GS's. I'll keep my eyes open for around Bristol.

SSSssssshhh, don't tell everyone that most GS's are perfectly reliable as they won't have anything to whinge about:augie

60k and going like a good one with no major issues:D

One year old today and the only problem is the tax ran out.
I will talk to bmw tuesday and see if i can claim.
Stunning bike .

Hi Hodgkins,
great yes I'm sure you can claim but it's if they pay ha ha I had simular probs with mine, then a few weeks a go I heard a clang, clang, and could not see owt wrong.
I know some noises are normal on the old Bavarian Tractors!

A week or so later whilst washing the bike i noticed my bloody tax discs was missing which was bolted onto the left pot! That was the clang, clang, so i had no tax displayed
i rode over to Beverley tax office and a cost of £7.00 it was re issued its now safe taped in my top box lid!

I swap the 2009 GSA on th e17/09/10 guess i will see just where the tax disc is fitted on the new steed than :)

Big D

I like em...

Over 60k on three 1200s (GSx2 and GSA) since 2005.

Only one EWS failure to report.

It's an OK bike. :aidan
