Just about to reassemble swinging arm, BMW recommend using Optimoly TA on bearing studs anybody know wot this is or is there an alternative?

Motobins used to do it, £15 iirc.

It's an aluminium paste, as recommended for 997 Porsche spark plugs.

Castrol do an equivalent, which maybe easier to get hold of.

Porsche make bmw prices look sane.

I used Action Can CS-90 high solids anti seize. It's less oily than Coppaslip. It works even on the side carrier frame clamps which usually seize up sold (stainless bolt into aluminium). I use the same stuff on exhaust studs and they've never seized or come loose. It's not a lubricant so don't use on bearings.
