1 or 2 man tent recommendation

Shouldn't need to hammer pegs into the wooden floor, unless it's very windy!

I've been using the same wild country sciroco 3 man tent for nearly 5 years and its bloody brilliant. My brother bought the slightly smaller 2man tent at the same time and both are going strong. Used all year round, on the last trip to Tan hill the wind was gusting upto 94mph and the tents stayed up no problem :thumb

Kyam tents.

Several of us have brought these, very quick to erect and especially when you arrive and it's raining and dark. No poles to thread and it's up and your in the dry. \always take a ground sheet for underneath the tent as stones will go through thr floor otherwise. Builders polathene membrane is good, tough and cheap. hjave a look at the kyam "biker", this is a two man and has a good size porch we have all now got these and they are just the job, plenty of space to put wet gear.
