Just wondered if anyone had used 100 watt headlight bulbs and if the standard wiring can carry 20 amps for off road use only of course

An 80/100 will feck the little plastic thingy that the bulb fits into,and eventually trash the wiring behind that.
An 80/100 will just make what you can already see a bit brighter,you won't be able to see any further

Yes I have tried the 100w bulbs and I did not manage to melt the wiring harness or blow any fuses. Now have the HID50s from Les W and they are by far a better solution

Either add a HID system (which works very well on the 1150)... or a lightbar and spots adjusted to improve/fill out the 'dip' - which was my choice.

Don't bther fit hid's you'll need to increase the size of the wiring to 100's as you will get volt drop lower light output and possibly melt the wiring /reflector
complete disaster. HID only way to go.

Had two 1150's in for a HiD fitting that had 100 watt bulbs fitted and both had melted the plastic inside the lens, the light had to be separated to remove it, not an easy job at all

HID everything else is 
Add a light bar with HID FF50's and Micro de's too and you'll get daylight if you're that bothered/rich

As somebody who gets to use NVGs on a regular basis (
) I would say that they would make excellent night riding tools - until an oncoming vehicle's lights blind you 
, presuming that you hadn't already binned it after losing depth perception Stick with the HIDs !
