1000 miles in 24 hours on a bike that's done 100000 miles that I bought for £100.

Great report - thoroughly enjoyed reading through that. :thumby:

I had the same issue with the DVLA, Police and the MOT situation when I bought a UK registered camper from Portugal that had been out of the country for a while. I found it impossible to get a definitive answer regarding the expired MOT requirement. I ended up booking a night ferry on a Sunday night and had an MOT booked at a local testing station near my home for 09:00am on the following Monday morning but wasn't 100% confident. 'Luckily' the camper broke down in Northern Spain and had to be recovered to the UK which fixed the MOT problem:D

Thanks for posting:thumby:

Cracking read. 24 hour stint on any bike is good but on the old ZZR that's damn impressive.

Fantastic story , my mothership has done 94000 miles , and i would trust it anywhere. 880 miles in one hit , 2up, and full camping gear , is my longest hit.Down to vienna and up to Brno. It looks like you may pip me to 100000 . I've done all but 2500 of my miles, and i know the bike inside out. Only once let me down, and that was a 12yr old battery, first run out after a winter lay up. You have just made my day.:beerjug:

Enjoyed that :thumb2, reminded me of a run from Thones, France to Stranraer in one hit with Alte Wolfe a few years ago

It's got a Corbin seat on it so my arse was mostly fine. No need for airhawks or anything like that. Some form of cruise control would have been good for the other problems.

Now that's an adventure!

I really wanted a ZZR11 in Candy / SunGod Orange back in the day, had to settle for a 600 instead.
