11 Nov now Fully Booked

Just heard fromPaul Cheshire and he has confirmed that the course on the 11 Nov is now fully booked. All 12 places filled. Mostly ukgers but some bike safe attendees.

The course that was due on the 20th of Jan is now also Fully Booked out by Denbighshire county council for council staff. So I am now liasing with Paul about possible dates for another ukgser group later on in the new year.

As for a Sat night meal, I will have look and see about locations. I dont know where everyone is planning to stay if at all. So if people let me know what they are upto i will see what can be arranged.

Thanks for the support guys, i had serious concerns there wouldnt be enough interest at the start. So big thankyou for those coming!

meal

Not heard back from any one.. other than Russ with regards a sat night meal. But for simplicity sake would suggest people meet up at the Plas Elwy Hotel (HERE).

If people are interested in a sat night social meal, pop a post up please.

Cheers

Just so you are clear... I will travel to the course on Sunday morning so, unfortunately, I won't be able to join you for the meal.

sat night meal..

Cheers Glynn.

I myself will not know if I will be free till saturday afternoon on the 10th as its looking like I have to be in Stone in Staffordshire during the day. So as I have not really heard too much from people I suggest if people wish they meet up at the Plas Elwy Hotel..

I will try to make it over if I can, but will depend upon what time I get out of Stone. Otherwise, will see you all bright and early on the sunday..:thumb

Blimey, Rocks in Stone:confused:

Booked into Plas Elwy. See you there.

I'm hoping the weather will be half decent and I can spend Saturday wandering up there. Can anybody recommend me any good routes through Wales? - I'm coming up from Oxford and hope to avoid Motorways once I'm past Brum especially as I am going to have to belt back via the motorways.

Routes..

Paul, if you have plenty of time on sat.. head for midwales somewhere around Rhayader and then work your way up via the back roads.. some cracking routes around the reseviors and up into snowdonia..

The elan valley is always worth a visit.. :thumb

All set for the Weekend

Travelling down on friday night, dropping the missus off at some s****y spa

Who's up for the Sat Bike Safe course ?

Looking forward to meeting up with everyone

Keith

Thanks Rocks - I feel an evening coming on with an OS map and Mapsource. :)

yep thats the best way, loads to go at, however take care around transfynydd to bala road a 4272 as bike fatal last weekend may involve more attention in that area this weekend by boys in blue!
I am hoping to ride up from cardiff late sat pm by a fairly direct route weather permitting staying at plas elwy so maybe meet up for a beer???

A fantastic course, I now feel much more confident if I were to be at the scene of a serious bike crash.

How to react, how to try and keep the injured rider safe and hopefully alive, how to safely remove a helmet and much more.

Everyone should consider attending one of these.:thumb

Very good course..

Thanks to all the ukgsers who turned up.. as Tim said, fantastic course. One that has taught me some important lessons and techniques. Was a pleasure to meet you guys and I hope everyone had a safe journey home.

Great Course

The course was excellent and we were well looked after. I hope I never have to use anything I have learned today but also know that if there is a need at least I should be doing more good than harm

Thanks for setting it all up Rocks.:beerjug:

yes very worthwhile experience, good relevant content, plenty of practicals to embed the info:thumb2

a pleasure to meet all the group members......

should we start a thread called

"What is in your first aid kit???"

Excellent course and good to meet everybody.

Its obviously had quite an impact (unfortunate choice of words :)) as I dreamt about helmet removal last night!

I also discovered the downside of an RT - my feet got b. cold on the way back - the fairing shelters the feet from the two large pots. :(
