I decided I would fit the Techlusion 1031 I recently bought this weekend, so last night I thought I better replace the CCP and make sure everything was OK. I removed the CCP soon after buying the bike because of surging on a steady throttle at low speed. I took out fuse five and six, put the CCP back in, pottered about, put the fuses back in, ignition on and turned the throttle fully open two or three times. I started the bike and it sounded fine.
This morning I drove the 30 miles to work and strangely absolutely no surging. If anything the bike seems smoother.
Could the dealer mechanics perhaps have replaced the CCP (to ensure no faults showed up during diagnostics) prior to my purchase of the bike but somehow forgot to reset the Motronic? Would failure to reset the Motronic after mucking about with the CCP somehow cause surging?
