I know these can bend/break, is there a mileage/age they are likely to go at? and is there any way of inspecting for warning of pending failure? I am in the midst of a rolling restoration on my bike ,driven by the fact i can't bring myself to spend on a new bike
I have a brand new Hall sensor plate and when the tupperware comes off to fit that I intend to fit the Hall sensor and sort out the fuel filter etc so with the bike opened up, is it worth changing the arm as a preventative measure? the bikes an '98 R1100RT , I have had the rear shock rebuilt and the FD is about 1500 miles old
so hopefully they won't need attention.
