1100 electrical problem

Ha ha, plenty of miles on my trip to Skye today and then it died in the garage when I rode it in. Headlights out, idiot lights dim, then it was OK. It's at the front end innit?

Stripped the front end down - some of the insulation is crumbling a bit which I will replace, but overall it looks pretty good.

The bike did have a complete new loom early on in its life for some reason - this was done at a main dealer for one of the directors (the minimal cost would make you weep!) and it looks like more care has been taken to seal the loom.

Anyway, once I'd cut the cable ties I was able to give the wires a really good wiggle and flex and absolutely every light stayed lit. Bugger.

Could I have a problem with a dodgy relay?

Stripped off two larger bunches of cables - where exactly would I find these corroding connectors? Anyway, it all looks in good shape.

Beginning to suspect the ignition switch, but will keep going.

Ah wait, got the earths towards the top of the loom - look perfect. Seem to have been covered in heatshrink.
