What's the current favorite side stand enlarger for an 1100GS?

Ideally it will increase the footprint size of the foot and make the angle of lean less. TT do one which increases the footprint, and MV do a lean reducer, but google hasn't been able to find one that does both :(

TVMIA.

Ice hockey pucks seamed to be popular a while ago...

It seems (unfortunately) there's always one of these within 10 yards wherever you stop...

I bolted a lump of plastic 20mm thick and a little larger than the metal foot on there after the Wunderlich item split and fell off, I have some of the plastic spare if you ever get over this way I will chop a lump off for you :thumb2

Nice to see that skilled British engineers are alive and well:augie

Ice hockey puck cost £1.60 plus a couple of nuts and bolts :thumb

I got a natty one from Rough Roads which I am happy with. Not sure it does much to the angle of lean though, but at least it stops the stand sinking into the mire.

Plus you get a cool sticker you can put on your panniers. It was a bit more than a squashed Pepsi can though.

I have ordered one from Rugged Roads (actually on 8th July, but they did sayit would be the 17th before they got new stock in) - when it arrives I will let you know what it is like.

The 1150 had a lump of aluminium "puck" style stand extender on it when I got her...it just slipped on and was an interference fit. Silicone gasket kept in place for a couple of years, then the sides of the alloy extension split and it was welded a couple of times, but kept breaking off, until I lost it. I have no idea if this was standard or an add on.

Anyway, the Rugged Roads one will be here in the morning. Then we shall see.

I wish I had thought of using a lump of engineering nylon though - my brother is a non ferrous stock holder and does engineering plastics and non ferrous metals.......hmmmm.

Didn't know they did one for the 1100

Done the hockey puck before, but fancy soemthing a little less unique.

Its a technical term for carefully measuring and precision cutting a finely calculated amount, it matters not though, cos I finish it off with an angle grinder :thumb2
