This is annoying. Spotted this while washing the bike today.

Screen supports, both sides cracked. Screen wobbling like a sail in the wind (more than normal)

Anyone else had this, tried warranty claims?

As far as I can see... you mounted a different screen than the original one?

I ordered the bike with a taller screen and the dealer ordered and fitted a Givi highflow screen. This was from new. If you're implying that the screen is the cause then the dealer is still responsible imho.

How is the dealer responsible? :blast

I could understand your thinking if they fitted a BMW screen, but they fitted a non genuine screen, as requested by you.

I think this is why he feels the dealer is responsible

Some dealers will fit aftermarket accessories, but quite a few won't fit certain accessories, for this exact reason. And if they do fit them, they won't take responsibility for any damage the accessories may cause to the bike at a later date.

Givi make it quite clear that their tall screen should be fiited with the support kit, quote from their website:

"5108 DT - Specific screen, transparent 55 x 44,5 cm (H x W)
to be combined with the specific D5108KIT fitting kit / 17 cm higher than the original"

Well fair play to Bahnstormer Alton.

Already responded to my email, they'll get this sorted for me under warranty and fit some strengthening so it doesn't happen again.

I guess if I was buying myself and fitting I'd see this but if dealer recommends, supplies and fits then they should be aware, I should trust they're not fitting something that will break the bike.

Anyway dealer has said they'll resolve this for me, see previous.

Regardless whom fitted I think it's best to stick the original on and take it back and get them to sort under warranty, no need to create a mountain out of a mole hill .

I'm not. Dealer already responded and will resolve.
