Hi people!!
Bike's a 94 1100 with an M94 trans.
Shifts fine most of the time, rides fine etc, no problem really BUT,
She makes a lot of noise at idle when warm, here's how (whatever is mentioned below, it's at idle only):
- When cold there's very little noise from the gearbox ie clutch in clutch out makes very little difference.
- Below 5 bars on the RID you hear a constant rather loud bzzzzzzzzzzzz from the gearbox. Clutch in, noise goes away.
- At 5 bars and above, there is also a knock. It too goes away when the clutch is in.
Oil at 10000 kms or 6000 miles came out as it went in, not even a smell.
Silver flakes on the magnetic plug, very thin ones, can't even feel them. Enough of them to cover the recess on the plug where the magnet sits.
Have had the bike for 8 months now. When first changed the trans oil, it came out totally black and reeeeeeeeeeeally smelly yikes.
Total mileage is 62000 kms or about 39000 miles.
Opinions please?????
