1100 rear shock re-build

the rear shock on my 1100 decided to spit all its oil out on a recent trip to scotland. after a few days all the oil leaked out and we were left riding on the spring only, extremely interesting to ride i must say, 2 up, fully loaded with camping gear.

anyway i am looking to get it rebuilt if possible as i really don't want to spend the money on a replacement.
can anyone give me details of where i can get this done and any advice would be appreciated

Steptoe referred me to some guys in Greenwich who refurbed my 1100 rear shock in the space of about a week for what seemed like a very fair price.

We simply mailed the shock forwards and backwards so don't worry about the location.

Someone will be along in a moment with the company name.

rang allbike and they do re-build 1100 shock as you said. price is £100 or £160 with rod if required.

would love ohlins, but too expensive for me
rang revs racing and quoted £612 for adjustable wilbers
rang bmw dealer and quoted £530 for replacement oem

i rang allbike spares and they put me straight onto allbike engineering as they are basically the same company.

Rebuilt my 1150 rear shock after it was only on the spring.

About a week turn around.
