1100 running rough

My 1100 runs rough on 1/4 to 1/2 throttle.

Best way to describe it is stuttering, power coming on and off with no movement of the throttle. When I close the throttle it occasionally stalls and again sometimes when idling. At full throttle it's not noticable, at least that's my excuse officer!

Any clues to whats wrong?

Running on 95RON petrol and dealer serviced 2,000 miles ago.

Have you taken the tank off recently or been fiddling round with the plactic cover underneath the r/h side of the tank ? The classic symptom you describe is the throttle cable on the r/h throttle body has been unseated. Take a look .....or do a search on throttle cable and you'll find lots of pictures and other info.

Okay that sounds about right. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm off to fiddle with my throttle bodies then

I assume you jiggle them back into their correct fit, or do you have to take off the tank and do something a little more clever?

Fairly clueless (but keen!!) as you can gather.

We've all done this at sometime or other....Just jiggle so the cable sits back into the recess. Look at the pictures on the link I posted you'll see how it should and shouldn't look. Unless you've done something really strange it will only be the one on the right hand side.
