Hi,
I want to try one of the Eprom tuning chips available on ebay. How do I know if my 1100GS manufactured in 1998 has a catalyst or not? It's a standard looking exhaust. I've tried looking through the forums but can't find a definitive answer. Any info much appreciated.

it will have a lamda probe.. it will only have a cat if it was (like mine) an import.

mine was brought over because the original buyer didn't want to wait for an 1150 and all the UK 1100s had sold out.. hence it being a 2000 W reg.

look at the photo on this page - http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1445191&postcount=1

the black cable that you can see goes to the lamda probe which you can also see...

Nor does mine - now.

took the thing off and put on a 'nearly new' OE exhaust (£20 BARGAIN) - which has transformed the bike. :D

is there a problem with the running or are you changing exaust?, if not, you wont get much out of an eprom, you wont get a terrific amount whatever

No problem I just read that it made the bike a better smoother ride and reduced the hunting at low speed. Thought for £25 I'd give it a go.

have you tried messing with the pot for the mixture, we did uggs and its a lot better , theres a thread on here somewhere ,about it, it stopped the hunting
