1100gs charging

Hi there, just wondering with a 1100gs, if I want to charge the battery through the accessory plug do I just need a Hella adapter to sae to charge with a normal optimate?

This is exactly what I do on my R1100RT, although I charge mine via a solar panel and associated gubbins.
Seems to work very well

I've been lifting the petrol tank and attaching crocodile clips from the charger to the battery on my 1100 Gs;; i thought the plug in port at the side of the bike was output only.

I was going to attach a fly lead direct to the battery, thought I would try the adaptor to make it easier and works fine. Optimate took 10 mins to show fully charged
