Hoping someone can help. I fancied some heated grips for my 95 GS so picked up a pair and a switch secondhand from the great people at Motorworks. Easy fitment as all plugs already were in place on the bike. But then trouble....
Turned bike on and the grips worked but on one setting they loaded the red cable on the bike that riuns to the switch so much it started to SMOKE! Replaced the cable back as far as the loom. A little fiddling later identified that if the red cable was disconnected The grips worked on one setting anyway so I resolved to only use them on that setting - oddly I actually think the higher setting!? But ok - heat but no smoke = no drama....... except......
Bike now only running on the right hand cylinder despite sparking on both spark plugs. Any helpful ideas anyone? Can't see any loose connections or damage to the wiring.
Can't help thinking some thicker gloves would have been a better option!
