I'm in the process of selling my sports bike and I'm entering the world of the GS.
I have found a very tidy 1999 1100 GS which is very low mileage and immaculate (not for long:D).

The bike ticks over when starting but touch the throttle and it dies. The garage are going to sort it before I have it obviously but are taking their time.
Are there any suggestions as to what this could be?

Thanks in advance

Disconnected or farked throttle position sensor

Yep, Hall sensor - I've had a few in with the same symptoms..

First one i had with this exact same problem i concluded it was the fuel pressure regulator. :blast
