1100S GearBox into an 1150GS?

Can anyone confirm that an 1100S gearbox can be fitted into my 1150GS as a straight forward swop.

i think you have to change the whole back end to do that

Any gearbox work needs a major stripdown but do you mean there is a problem with fitting that particular one?

They have totally different rear ends on the differrent bikes. The 1100S has a partial frame & a different subframe so all the mounting points are different. It's a bit like trying to swap an 1100GS gearbox to an 1150GS.

Not what I wanted to hear. Guess my impulse buy on e-bay was a waist of money then!
