1150 adv model history

My 1200 got turned into a tin can after an altercation with a right turning corsa - nice. Now for financial reasons I'm thinking about an 1150adv. Is there anywhere I can find out what the spec was for diffeerent years and what the mods were? I read somewhere that twin spark was added at some point. Any tips for what made an improvement?

Twin spark and Evo calipers (BMW on the side) + servo if you get ABS, came in 2003.

No great changes after that although later models do come equipped with an attachment for jump leads on the side cover by the auxiliary socket, and the SE came in white in 2005. I believe the large tank may have become standard in 2004 or 5

You can retro fit the jump start attachment to the starter motor for a few ££, did it this morning in 15 minutes start to finish.

Iffy info. The Adventure shock is still a Showa item.

Don't go out of your way to buy a servo braked bike. It's pointless over complicated technology. The servo brake pads are £45 a set (compared to £25 for the standard braked machines) and the brakes have less feel to them.

thanks for the responses, can anyone tell me what the difference is in feel between the single & twin spark engines? Obviously I am used to the 1200 which was great.

Can you give us more details Pumpy? I Might be moving somewhere cold soon, would be a handy addition. Have had to jump it a couple of times and it involves a large screw driver, sparks and avoidance of petrol tank
