hey all,

resently bought myself a 1150 adventure (what a cracking bike), so a bit new to the forum.

been riding it for about 3 months, the bike is running sweet but seem to have a little problem wit the rear suspension.

the rear shock seems to be quite springy/bouncy, even more with two up, just wondered if anyone else has had the problem or if it's renouned for these types of bike?

cheers!:)

Have you wound in the preload? if its still bouncy it may be the shock on the way out....

Welcome to the site BTW :thumb

cheers for the reply bryn,

yeh tried tighting it in but makes no differance???

There is a 2nd adjuster (Rebound) on the side of the shock, that could be wound right down to soft. If it is that would make the ride soft even with the preload of full.

How many miles has it done?

Given the tyre pressures are correct (does affect the handling quite markedly) much above 30k miles and the shocks may be worn. You won't notice it if you've ridden the bike for a while, but if new to the bike it may be more obvious.

I've not regretted upgrading to Wilbers on my 1150GSA - you'll be impressed just how true the bike will ride once upgraded IMHO

cheers
