My 1100 fairing bracket is bent/cracked so I'm eyeing an 1150 one on fleabay with the hope of eventually getting the beak and 1150 lights to match.

Question is...will my old 1100 clockset still fit though, as I don't fancy sourcing new clocks aswell....???

I don't think so... best person to talk to is gypsy - he did exactly this to his 1100 - converted the front end (and the rear) to an 1150 - but had to change the clocks too... I'm sure if he could've kept the original clocks he would've.

he's now sold on the bike - but there are a few pictures here - http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146556

Beaks

A new 1150 beak was £230.00 in February 2008 they come in the correct colour but many broken promises over delivery so I've still got my battered version, give's it charactor.
dave gs. have a look on Bobs BMW site spares filch see if any parts have the same No. (clocks) or look similar.

The b-art beak looks brilliant and at 242 euro`s delivered, it would seem a cheaper option than adapting an 1150 beak. You have to paint it though.....

As soon as the exchange rate gets a bit better, I will be getting one:thumb

1150 beak

I have an 1150 beak to fit onto an 1100, havent got around to it yet but I have offered it up, there is gap in front of the oil cooler, the mounting holes dont line up and the indicator brackets wont fit, all in all its a bit of work to make it fit. I havent given up yet but its a bit of a job, the good thing is that it does fit the width of the 1100 frame and it is do able but you will have to have the ability to make things fit.

Beakless!

A beakless gs, that puts you right at the bottom of the pecking order.
