1150 cat code plug

I have just read the thread about linking up connections 5 and 6 on the cat code plug to re-chip the 1150 if using a Y piece with a Remus can.
I have only recently bought my 1999 1150GS and it came with a Y piece and a Remus and also a Techlusion black box fitted. The bike seems to be running OK, however since this is my first GS, then I have nothing to compare it against.
I was wondering whether I should try the cat code mod, or does the techlusion black box mean that I don't need to do this, or will it make things worse.

Any thoughts or advice?

I believe the cat-code plug selects different maps from the ECU according to differing set-ups on the bike ie "Y" piece,K&N filters,end cans etc as well as fuel quality and maybe,altitude.
The techlusion is i believe,capable of manually tuning the EFI to get the best
dyno result irrespective of which CCP is fitted.
I'm sure someone will be along to correct any of my assumptions.
As long as the bike runs smoothly,reliably,without any over-run backfiring you should be OK.
