Was just out checking over and spraying some gt85 into the brake and clutch lever assemblies on my 1150 '01 non servo abs. When wiping down excess lube on the clutch side, a couple of spade connectors fell off seemingly from this moulding on the underside of the assembly. Looks like a microswitch ? of sorts with cover and internals missing, but I cant see any wires going to or from it. I can hear a microswitch operating inside the lever assembly. So anyone know what is it for !? :nenau

Yeah to start engine in gear you pull clutch in . It's like side stand switch ignition breaker.

Ok - that makes sense, but there are no wires/connectors I can see that went to it !
Also I can hear a micro switch operating inside the lever assembly, I'm pretty sure the bike won't start in gear but will check tonight if it starts when clutch pulled in ( I thought it did ) and I've not noticed anything working different / wrong up to now ! Don't want to ride bike till I'm sure it's safe /ok ! I have no idea when the casing cap came off but sort of remember the two spades sticking out doing nothing and wondering why ?
