Why oh why do insurance providers still think that their customers are all idiots who accept renewal quotes without a second thought and just let the direct debit run and run without question?? (OK, some folks do)
Received my renewal documents today (" you don't have to do anything as long as your circumstances haven't changed"-they haven't....). That will be £358 fully comp sir. So, my policy that cost £98 fully comp last year has escalated by over 250% this year with the same ( reputable) brokers and is, apparently, the best deal for me? Me thinks someone is either taking the piss or has made an administrative error.
Anyway, got an online quote from Carole Nash for £179. Found several others on comparison sites for under £100. Received phone call from CN who negotiated quote down to £120 with break down cover and £100 excess. That will do nicely. Contacted current brokers who apologised for not being able to provide a more competitive quote and hope they can be of future service.
Feckin' chancers!

I get fucked every year because I was unlucky enough to have 2 non fault claims in my works car (I wasn't even driving one of them, the car was parked!) and I had the Husaberg stolen. Even though I have protected no claims, they feck me over every year.

BTW I was quoted £675 by CN for fully comp on my GSA. Kept in a locked garage, I am 43 years old and haven't had a spill on a bike since I was 25 years old. I've never been banned and have an SP30 from 2 years ago (34 in a 30).

Thought it was an 1100 you had? Anyway, even an 1150 might qualify for classic insurance now. Might be worth trying some of the classic providers such as Peter James etc.

I shall count myself lucky! Was expecting the yearly haggle, but 250% increase with no changes seemed excessive. Hope you got a better deal.
