1150 GS rocker covers

Just got another gs went out earlier and had an incident with some diesel and the upshot need new rocker cover and front brake reservoir.My question do I need to drain the oil to change the cover and while its off the road the para lever needs painting is it a job to remove. Thanks

You don't need to drain the oil. Only a little will come out when you remove the old one.
