1150 gs wheels

I have spoked wheels on my 2000 1150 gs with ABS and wanted to know if its possible to change them for alloys and if it is any one any idea where i can get some.

yes - I've seen it done.

but - no I can't point you in the right direction. I think some of the other R series wheels are a straight swap, but you'd best check with a dealer or possibly even better ask Steptoe - he'll know for sure...

I have rs wheels i think (got loose from auto jumble) 17" front
Handles wery well with them fitted ,you need to make sure the front has the speedo drive

This is mine with a 3-spoke R1100R front & a 10-spoke R1100S Boxercup rear... Advantages are: that you get larger full-floating front brakes, speedo drive off the front hub & the ability to fit a 180/55 rear tyre.

It holds its own... I just pin the throttle wide open & hang on but the wheels/tyres certainly help keep up the corner speeds.

They're std forks, but I had them replaced 5yrs ago, under warranty. They got pitted & looked awful after winter use & were replaced along with the fork brace. I found some MX carbon fibre fork protectors that fitted nicely with some 3mm neoprene behind them...

The mudguard was 20 quid off ebay.de but similar ones can be bought from Fallert or Boxerdesign websites...
