i am looking for a 1150 gsa and i have seen some with high milage (46000) and some have fsh. is this sort of milage an issue and is there any other issues that come with this sort of milage ........taa

Thats nothing , some have over 200,000 miles including Special Uncle Al's ... :friday

Mines only got 52,000 miles on the clock but i haven't really used it since The Turkey Trot 3 years ago ..... :bounce1

Just gone past 100,000 on my standard GS, (It's currently being repaired after a smidsy incident) but is capable for another 100k reckon:beerjug:

The only issue would be the fact it's only 2K away from the 48K service;the big one.Mines on 83K and going strong.

Mines at 47k, how much is the big service going to be??

Depends on which dealer you take it to i guess, they do vary.
It will actually be an "every 24K" service which means fuel flter, possibly alternator drive belt,on top of the usual oils, plugs, filters etc plus set-up.
I do my own, with knowledge from here and ADVrider and parts from Motorworks.

Oh no. He asked the oil question :blast (and the linky no worky)

lol be gentle

Looks like you got yourself a nice clean bike that will last you for years. Enjoy :thumb2

just picked my daughter up on my bike, i let it warm up to 2 bars first and set off down the moutain. 1st gear engine brake and there was a definate repetitive clunking going down over the moutain, pull the clutch in and it cleared. i am sure i could feel it in the bike too is this the norm if so what is it caused by if not what can i do. i still cant get the smile off my face though :beerjug:

out again today and i listened for the clunck but it aint there now i think i was trying to hard i dont really no but its riding sweet and i had digested alot of forum 1150 stuff too so maybe i was barking up the wrong tree. cant wait for the morning now :beerjug:
