I've had my2002 GS for 5 months now, and done 6000 miles on it, but spent the first 2k thinking the gearbox/shaft drive was gonna fall to bits!!!
Try to ignore all the little wierd noises, put a couple of thousand miles on it and you will learn to enjoy it, it's a totally different beast to all those high rev jap bikes.
