i've noticed a "problem"?...on my "new" 1150 gsa '04

The motor runs very smoothly but when i accelerate around 4.000 - 5.000 rpm the seems to have a problem accelarating...i think bogging is the correct word...

I asked the guy who did the service of the 50k and told me that all the twin-spark models have that kind of problem because of the wires that meet at some place...:nenau

A friend told me that i should replace the coils someone else that i should spray the sparks with a silicon spray and that it would be fine....:blagblah:blagblah

Does anyone knows or has the same problem ???:confused::confused:

Thanx

I think that one of the coil sticks is broken. If you can, swap the coils with one of your friends and check which one is broken. It is typical and very very common fault in twin spark boxers.

To test your main coil caps pull the plug cap off the lower secondary plugs and see if the engine runs on both sides.

The side that doesn't fire is the side that's failed.

So you don't think that is the wires from the coils ???:nenau

We removed both coil caps underneath and the engine wont fire...we tested the upper coils with spark plugs (to see if spark is created) and no spark...so we assume we are heading for a new pair of coils?

The caps underneth aren't coil caps. They are HT leads.

You need two new main coil caps. :thumb
