1150 infected with surge

My 1150 has the dreaded surge. ive been told that it cannock be totally eradicated is that the case?

Mine does'nt surge, so no.

Yes it can be erradicated. But before you start the long process of reading posts and tweaking cables etc, get a diagnostic reading done at a dealers - will tell you straight away if it's just one of the sensors playing up.
Would've saved me months of fiddling on my 1150

cured surge on 1150 completely by setting valve clearance as per steptoes ace instructions and changing plugs to champion eon 2.

Mine doesn't either, try Steptoes CCP© mod cheap and easy option.

I just serviced mine, at the same time refitted the Remus Revolution can with baffle, and did the valve clearances, and also did the Steptoe ccp mod. Because I did all these things at once I don't know what made it better, but I now have a much better transition from neutral throttle. Used to feel like an on/off switch. Also it doesn't backfire anymore (could have just been an air leak).

Not much help that really! But mine doesn't surge anymore with those changes.
