Somewhere out there.
Had a search but can't find anything.
Does anyone know anyone in the uk that makes a brace for the 1150 rack.
I've seen some in the US but shipping bumps the price right up.
I've got a genuine rack extender/ top box bracket and looking to support it.

What you want to strengthen? Post a pic of what you saw in the US and someone 'may' be able to help out with a solution;)

The rack is probably stronger than the rear subframe......I've broken my subframe before, but never the rack

(so did those two actor luvvies in that TV prog IIRC :augie)

I got those Caribu braces. Got them only after i broke the rack on my bike.

Strange feature on Caribus webpage is when you add items on shopping basket it shows same postal charges no matter how many items you add. But when you put your order in so every additional item adds charge anyway. At least when shipment is airmail. Somehow they fail to mention such a little thing.

Very simple thing to fabricate. But i couldn´t do it.

I have, or had, a Givi set, which have been floating around the garage for about a year. Will have a look and if they are still there they are yours......:D

If you're going to go down the route of strengthening the rack to take more weight, FFS strengthen the subframe as well......all you'll do otherwise is move the weakest point from the back where you can deal with it, to a place that makes the bike un-rideable when it snaps :blast DAMHIK!

All it needs are a couple of triangles of fillet welded in to the acute angle of the subframe :rob

The brackets actually bolt to the mounting points for the side pannier rails, I would have thought that would be strong enough....:D
