1150 stripped... sexy!!!

It looks like what a 'Basic' airhead would have evolved into if the engineers had had their way without the marketing department getting involved.

That looks nothing short of awesome, just the tool if you live near Salisbury plain.

Seems to be something KTM, Honda, Aprillia etc... do much better.

Shaft drive is great is you do a lot of off road miles (trail riding i used to do a chain and several sprockets in around 3k miles @£90 a throw), also the weight isn't necessarily a bad thing, when combined with the fantastic smooth torque of the boxer motor it will pull you out of anything (bar a thick welsh bog...but then it doesn't matter what your ridding- you'd be fecked :D), even over slippery rocky or shale climbs that would have a light weight enduro bike spinning up all over the place, the big beemer will find grip and allow you to trickle forward with minimal fuss!! And thats before you take into account the luxury of a comfortable seat to plant your arse on, and heated grips for those winter days on the lanes.

I think as an ideal compromise bike it comes close to what would be ideal for "me", though i currently see my gsa staying as it is and maybe the purchase of an xchallenge...

Looks great but wouldn't a used HP2 be lighter, faster and cheaper? Nice bit of kit though:thumb

Maybe, but i bet this bike doesn't have that complex canbus system, forks that eat bushes like i change my socks, and rear shock based on a space hopper....:aidan
