I know this has been asked before, however I can't seem to get a clear answer from various search's.

If I replace my original plastic tank for a 1150 Adv tank, do I have to replace the silver panels (from the later steel tank model) which sit between tank and beak; or only the rubbers between silver panels and tank?

Thanks in advance,
Hamish

i tried the fitting of a metal tank....

if you look at the pics it looks like you need the silver bits and rubbers too.

Rubbers do it - every time !

Hamish -- Had my original plastic tank replaced with a metal one and only needed to replace the rubbers , the grey plastic "sidepieces" remained in situ and did not need to be changed .
But , I did need to change my BMW tankbag - the plastic tank model will not fit the metal tank !
All the best ,
Jim .
