1150 trip reset wheel stiff to turn.

Hi,

1150GS, 2000 W reg.

I have noticed that the trip reset wheel is becoming increasingly difficult to turn, i have tried the easy option of squirting a bit of WD40 down the side of the wheel, but it had very little effect, if at all.

Before i start delving deeper, has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
or has anyone got any hints/tips? that i can try.

Maybe the little shaped rubber behind the wheel has slipped. You would need to dismantle the windshield, cowel and loosen/remove clocks to take a look. sounds harder than what it is.

Yep, you were right, the rubber donut thingymajig had moved, so i have repositioned it and also lubricated the middle of it, nice and easy now.
