Hi all,

I'm running 17" front and rear alloys on a 51 reg 1150GS.
Currently have Avon Azaro's fitted.

Good in dry - if lacking a little feel.

Not that happy with them in the wet - skittish on the front and poor traction on the back (compared to my previous D207 rear that was unflappable.)

What have you got on your 17" wheels and what do you think of them?

Cheers.

Mike.

Mike, I did have 020s on my 17" wheels and thought they were pretty good, not as long lasting as they might have been. Now running 207RRs and they seam to be lasting better than the 020s.No problems with either really.
Got the 207s for £100 the pair...bargain(cheers MetalMan)
Let me know what you get and how you find them.
Dave

Tyres

I use Metzler Z6 Roadtec.

Cost around the same as Tourances, never had any concerns over grip in the dry or wet and am getting around 8k from the rears.Don't know how much further the front would go as I usually change them in pairs.
Suits me.

ADV with 17 inch alloys running Avon Azaro's.
I have used them on both my R1100S's and I have been very happy with them.
I tried 020's but for some reason I feel happier with the Avons.

1150ADV with Bitubo shocks, Alloys 5inch rear...

Started with Pirrelli Corsa (5,000miles had about 1,000 left but a bit skittish in the wet), then wintered with BT020's (4,000 will put the front back on in the winter, rear had about 2,000 left but very squared off, very comfy in even heavy rain) now on Pirrelli Corsa Diablos (2,500 to date lasting well including track day).
