After slipping it way to much in heavily damaged mud road - so stopped it and let it cool down and the smoking stopped thankfully. Then went on my way and had no problems.

I'm keen to understand as to what damage I've done to the clutch now that I've ridden it so badly today. Now I know the better technique - give it power, clutch in, power, clutch in.

So, should I be worried now that I have done some damage to the clutch?

Cheers guys

Brian (in Kashmir Himalayers today)

You've shortened the life a bit ( only a teensy bit) - but if it's back to normal, it'll be ok,

you "Carry on up the Kyhber" :D

phew

Thanks - just dont like it when smoke comes out of the bike from bits that its not supposed to come out of. I can deal with exhaust smoke - thats normal isnt it? (yes I am joking).

Cheers

Brian
