Hi can anybody help with a problem which is occuring with a 1150GS Adv, The problem is on the odd occasion when aproaching Roundabouts or Traffic lights for no apparent reason the engine cuts out. Whilst on the Roundabout I have to put it into neutral and the engine fires up okay, This can be pretty hairy as you not only lose momentum which makes the bike situp you also lose the breaking, The bike has the C/Convertor removed but retains the standard exhaust, but I have read Steptoe guide to reset the mapping which is done, The major worry is it may not happen for a month or two then all of a sudden it does it, Any ideas
Many thanks Tony

I can`t really help other than tell you that your bike is an Adventure model and not an AdventurER. :augie

:D

I had the same problem with mine (2002 1150gs single spark) not long after I bought it new. The lambda (is that spelt right?) sensor was diagnosed as the problem, replaced under warrenty and its been fine ever since. Basically, after decellerating rapidly approaching roundabouts or junctions it would cut out, but always fire up straight away afterwards. Only ever did it slowing down, the bike rode perfect otherwise.

Check the wires coming out of the ignition switch....they break. Mine did exactly what you have just described, only on the turning left nit, not turning right. Plenty of people have had the same. Steptoe warned us all about it, cut the cable ties that hold the loom tidy around the headstock and re-do them yourself, rerouting...Steptoe has a thread on it somewhere if you know how ot look fo rit.

How come mine has ADVENTURER over the GS sticker on the tank then?
Has had since it came from Germany....:nenau
