Just a quick one does the brake cable on the left handside side ie other side of throttle go under or over the where the wheel fits into its slot when putting the tank back

I think you mean the clutch pipe which looks like a braided brake hose (at least it does on my 1150GSA). It passes over the rubber bung that the tank slots onto, held close to the frame by a cable-tie.
