Hi all

I'm hoping someone can help.

I changed my main plugs on my 1150 twin spark to some brisk ones a mate gave me. Seemed easy enough. when i came to start the bike I got an audible warning sound and light up on the display - and a dead bike.

Bugger I thinks and changes the plugs back to the old ones.

still get the warning sound. bike doesnt even try to start its just dead.

it all worked just fine 5 mins before i started!

anyone know what this might be?

Thanks

Nick

Check the electrical connectors going to the plug cap coils are free of crud (squirt of WD40) and make sure they are clipped in correctly.

What sort of 'audible warning sound' Nick....as far as I know, there's nothing at all on any GS that does this....the sound may give a clue as to what the problem was, as it was probably caused by the fault rather than being a warning :nenau

And what lights were up on the display

Do you have an alarm fitted?
