Hi
My 1150gs has an adventure tank fitted and the sender is u/s ( reading full constantly)
Does any one know the difference between the two senders, they have differnt part numbers but look the same ?
Cheers

Is there no way of just fixing it? I'm interested because I have an adventure one and have a gremlin of my own regarding the fuel light.

The sender part is the same, it's just the arm and the float that are different. The float and arm are interchangeable with care, that's what I did when I swapped my standard tank for an ADV 32L. Perfectly accurate (as far as petrol gauges go) and worked straight away.

That’s useful and cheaper to know, thanks.
Does it just pop out ?
Regards

Yes, more or less. I don't remember for sure now. I think there maybe a little circlip, but you don't need any special tools or anything. Once you take a look at it you'll figure it out. I remember it was easy enough to do

You can try to bend the the tabs down on the sender you’ll see what I mean when you take it out. Or check the electrical connector is clean. The only reason my one went kaput after I had repaired it !! Is because I earthed the fuel tank on the battery and fried it !!
