Due to Covid, didn't ride the bike much last year, or most of this.

Light dribble of oil coming from gaiter, when I used it for a few miles. I loosened gaiter, bit of oil came out. Gearbox oil level had dropped a little.

Did 400 miles last week, no longer leaks, gearbox oil remains the same.

I know that vehicles are best when ran often, never thought a dubious gearbox oil seal would right itself though.

Not that I'm complaining.:)

Oil from the gaiter is usually from the final drive input seal. Especially if doing long ride, 300+ miles at a time, the seal seems to breath and goes back to normal when the long ride is over - used to happen regularly when doing the old Moroccan dashes riding through France and Spain, 1400 miles in 2 days.,

Nothing obviously.:bow

I just thought that the seal was replaced at the same time as the bearing, not that I know anything about it.
