1150GS - Loose main beam headlight

I'm tracking down an annoying rattle in the instrument/headlight cluster of my '02 1150, and I've noticed that my main beam unit has about 1mm of up/down play in it. The dip headlight is snug. Can anyone confirm if this is normal?

i have an 03 gs and my main beam light was loose on the 3 mountings i made up some thin plastic washers and put them on behined the fixings.... no more rattles
