Just came back from a blast to Wales yesterday and noticed my main beam headlight has a stone chip:mad: Does anyone know if you can buy/fit replacement lenses or do you have to buy the whole unit? (01 1150GS). I will be ordering my touratech plastic cover later!:P

nope, entire new unit im afraid. £50 from the dealer iirc [then another £40 for the wire type protector}

TT perspex ones are a bit cack. they scatter light up onto the screen if you have tobinators.
you can mod them as i have done, so they sit under the dash cover, but i suspect they lose a fair amount of light.

i think the wire "chip basket" covers are about 70 quid

Head Lamp Protectors

mmm £50, not as bad as I had imagined.

I will try to get a secondhand one first, does anyone know if the UK and European units are the same? I.e. do I need to be careful when looking at secondhand ones to make sure its a UK one rather than off an inport of some description? Or does that only relate to the dipped beam unit do you think?

I have tobinators so you reckon the the plastic protectors are crap with them on and the metal 'mesh' ones are the way to go?

Any one else have experience of these plastic protectors with tobi's on?

Thanks for post so far:D
