The right side indicators (both for and aft) on my 2002 1150 GS have just stopped working for no apparent reason. I rode the GS from my house completing two left turns followed by a right and the indicators and tell-tale failed to work on the first right hand occasion. There was no outward sign or event that occurred that would explain the failure.
Both right side indicators don't work also when the hazard warning light switch is operated as well. The left side indicators remain completely unaffected.
I've checked the bulbs and they are both okay. I've taken out the indicator relay in the fuse box and replaced it with an identical one and that hasn't cured it. I wondered if the problem is mechanical rather than electrical. i.e. a problem with the switchgear on the right side handlebar but that wouldn't explain why they don't work when the hazard button is operated. I can't see it being an earth problem because the front and rear indicators have different earth locations. I'm now at the end of my admittedly limited knowledge and ability. Can anyone help?
