Hi, Just bought a W-reg 1150GS and love it. But... The standard seat's a bit on the hard side on longer runs so what do you suggest? Get a gel implant in the seat or buy an Airhawk? I can't afford an expensive replacement seat.
I had this problem 65000 miles ago and brought a Corbin blooy rip off, but is comfortable. Beware though these are wide at the front and can help you feet not reach the ground but a s/h one would be a good bet soon flog it.

Just posted a 'Wanted' thread for an Airhawk in which I asked for advice on size and also if the budget model is adequate or the premium, at twice the money, is worth the extra. Should have asked you lot first I guess! Anyway - advice please? Large or medium? Budget or premium (though there doesn't seem to be a budget Large anyway)?
My budget budget solution is a sheepskin with an inflatable camping cushion under it, its filled with exactly the same kind of air as an airhawk
Good for all day now.
Lee - I have had an airhawk on my 1150 for last couple of years (underneath a sheepskin, and with a gel seat) - medium, budget version. They say they cannot be repaired but after a puncture mine has had a couple of bicycle repair 'leeches' on it for the last year and still does not leak.
I'd suggest that if you want to use it for the summer holiday then the budget one will be fine - but if you do regular long distance riding it is a false economy.
When I got mine there was no 'medium' - the large works fine though
