Thanks

If you can waiting until it's light I'll take some photos of mine but I can't actually recall, without going all the way down to the garage if there were 'additional' parts.

Thanks Steve
The mra screen has a big hole for the front fixing and the adventure plastic covers don't have a spacer to fill the hole.

There's threads on here about this but nothing with a close up pic.

You need the fittings for a standard 1150GS screen. You unscrew the adventure screen pods/winglets & use the standard ones in their place. However, if you can't get any 2nd hand they ain't cheap new. Circa £50

Parts no.2 & 4 here
http://www.ascycles.com/Illustrated...&bindName=Front_panel_carrier&bindCat=46_0603

And parts 2,3,4,5 & 6 here
http://www.ascycles.com/Illustrated...Name=Windshield_mounted_parts&bindCat=46_0604

If you want to also use tobinators, you normally need the std tobinator kit. Which ones have you got, std or adv tobinators?

Happy days! another £50 to use the MRA screen plus I have the Adv tobinators so would need the std fittings for that as well so looks like a nearly £300 total outlay.

My fault for not researching this more before buying the screen.

Not sure I can be arsed to spend another £150 to try a screen that may or may not cure the buffetting.

I thought Tobinatirs were designed to cure problems with the original screen. Namely turbulence.

Aren't these turbulence problems cured by MRA and so Tobinators are no longer necessary?

Or am I missing something. A further problem specific to the 1150.

Just curious.

You 'might' be able to use/bastardise the adv tobinators if you have them, I can't honestly remember - have a look at the pics of them.

You can try the MRA without tobinators, tall sods like me need them (6'3").

Motobiker - normally the MRA cures it, but using tobinators gives you a whole new range of adjustment. I found the std MRA was okay, but the tobinators cured it completely

You could always ask if anyone's near & got the std screen fittings and see if they'll loan them for a ride - takes 5 minutes to fit & you'll know straight away. I'd loan you mine, but I'm a bit far away :)

Yes, I tried Tobinators with an mra screen for a long time but the screens much better without them..... Just to confuse things :D

Thanks for the info.
Like you I'm 6'4" and need all the streamlining I can get!

Think I will make it a winter project and make some spacers for the holes in the MRA, what can possibly go wrong.
