Tried to fire up my 1150gsa today and got nothing
The rid is blank apart from the time,
and the fuel pump is not turning when I push the immobiliser
Button on my key fob.
I have changed the battery in the fob and tried the little override stick with no joy how do I know if it's the immobiliser that's playing up?

Unfortunately the probability of it being the immobiliser is very high - as they are a well known failure.

1150's are very basic and this doesn't sound like any fault a immobiliser free 1150 would have when turning the key on - unless the battery was totally flat.

If you know the immobiliser make, try googling common issues for them, and see if you can get them synced as I think your fob and the bike are not seeing eachother.

When I push the right hand button on the fob a red light comes up on the override eye on the dash so the fob is communicating with the bike ?

Is it in gear or have you flicked the red engine kill switch to off? I've been there before.....

I'm assuming op has no lights/rid/abs/pump/indicators/horn when he presses the fob/turns the key. Ie:- its dead = immobiliser.
Or the battery is totally fcuked

Most of the Thatcham approved alarms have an internal rechargeable battery within the system which cannot be changed as the unit is sealed. The battery usually only lasts for about 10 years. After which the alarm system is toast and needs to be removed or replaced. There may be enough voltage to illuminate the alarm LED, but not enough to latch the in built immobiliser relay. Changing the fob battery is a red herring, most people think that that is the only battery in the system. Wrong!.

My money is on the Alarm/immobiliser internal battery life expired.
