1150GSA Spruce Up

I think that you need to repaint the filler neck top ring, there appears to be some minute chipping around the inner edge, ruins the appearance of the entire bike.:D

I've always thought that the top box ruined the looks of the GS(A), OK on a commuter when you need to stash your helmet every day and looks are irrelevant but on an adventure bike? No, not for me.

I could never be bothered to spend so much time, effort and money to get a bike looking that good, it's a masterpiece. My idea of cleaning is remove all the dirt necessary to do a good service and afterwards go riding again ASAP.

Tomahhhtoes, tomaytoes. :)

Put some foam padding on front forks behind the twalcom fork protectors, the rear sharp edge will mark and remove blue anodised paint from the Forks if ridden fast and they push back in the wind.

They're not Twalcom fork protectors and there's no chance of it being ridden, let alone ridden fast, it's in a bubble where it will spend the rest of it's days.:D

The wrap will have to come off......I noticed the oil sight glass was filthy.

Attention to detail is what its about :P

PS John,.... I need another Arai Tourex any time soon...when you're ready

It was just a little tip, and they are the same as twalcom regardless of the RR retrofitted stickers, I've had mine for several years

Hope it doesn't suffocate in there ; )

That looks superb!

Would you mind telling me where you sourced the following please:

1. exhaust centre piece
2. oil cooler guard
3. screen ( is it OEM?)
4. crud catcher

Thanks :thumb2

PS get the fuck out of your garage and ride the bitch, you silly twat :rob

If you're the sort of person who would like to be on their death-bed saying " Ooooh but I have a lovely minty clean bike in my garage!" rather than " Fuck, I enjoyed that!" with a dirty, shagged out bike on its last legs and smothered with mud from all around the place, then good luck to you....your choice.

Your bike is lovely and clean, and if that's what makes you happy, good luck to you, your choice.

I just don't get it though :nenau

I am with you Bill. Just don't understand why you would have a GS and keep it like a museum piece. Lovely bike, but it is just to good to ride.... What is the point💥👀👍😄😜😁👌🍺

The point is...everybody is different. With almost 30k on it, it's not like it hasn't been used.....;)

Like the flooring, shouldn't you have a KTM!

Nice bike. Definitely in very nice condition. But at 13 years old with only 30,000 miles, which equates to 2,300 miles per year, it deserves to be used "a bit" more. ;-) I do that on a 3-day weekend, not a whole year. ;-)
